About Dr. Nicole Gurash Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Nicole Gurash, Psy.D., BCBA Expertise: Pediatric behavior therapy for a range of challenging behaviors; providing emotional regulation, behavioral and social skills interventions. Dr. Nicole Gurash is the founder and owner of ABC Behavioral Services. She is a Doctor of Psychology and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, and teens with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, challenging behaviors, anxiety and mood disorders. Her therapeutic orientations include utilizing Applied Behavioral Therapy (ABA), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as third wave behavior therapies, such as, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness approaches. Dr. Gurash graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology as well as completed an advanced Master's Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis. She was also awarded a Master's Degree with a focus in Early Childhood & Special Education. Dr. Gurash's doctoral research involved the therapeutic benefits of using evidence based behavior analytic approaches to treating emotional dysregulation and anxiety in children with autism spectrum disorders. In addition, Dr. Gurash is an adjunct faculty member teaching graduate courses in Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis. She has met the BACB’s requirements to provide supervision to board certification applicants. Her work experiences include clinical, in-home, special education and early intervention settings. She is a member of the following professional associations: The Association for Applied Behavior Analysis International, The Colorado Association of Behavior Analysis, The Association for Professional Behavior Analysts and The Association for Contextual Behavioral Science.
